DAIS BIRTHDAY

Opening presents

Dais started walking all over the place. He loved his birthday party, especially his big cake. He sat in contentment for and hour eating and playing. He was so proud of himself and loved every minute of it.

THE YEAR OF CHANGE!
Many goals, wishes, and wants have been established for the Merrill family. All of which require much change. This will be the year for growth and purpose instead of just mere survival. Eating healthy, working out, Dais commited to finishing school, more continuing education and study for me, planned activities for the kids, family home evening, attending the temple, waking up early, learning to cook, get out of debt, start saving money, finish the basement, finish the yard, learn better cleaning and yard work habbits, take family trips, read to the kids daily, start saving for kids college, continue blog, establish bed time routine for kids, become efficient productive people, daily reading and personal study, visiting Daison's family more, and simply being better people. The year of making and achieving goals!

NEW YEARS EVE

What no pics of New Years. Yes that is right, because we stayed home and did nothing. We were going to go to St. George and hang out with Scott and Terica, however Dais didn't get off until 4. I made a bunch of hors de vors. Maelyn was up until 2 am possibly due to the Dr. Pepper we let her drink. It was a nice relaxing evening though.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Christmas morning will always wipe you out!

It was the first Christmas in our own home since we have been married. Maelyn was excited to get a treasure chest from Santa and a lot of dress up clothes from Grandma Do Do. Dais and Maelyn both loved the "motorcycle". We realized that Maelyn didn't get very many toys when she ended up playing more with Dais's toys than her own.

Christmas Day sledding in the pasture. Dais had to save Maelyn from going into the creek a few times.

CHRISTMAS EVE

This year Dais and I decided to have Christmas morning at our house. On Christmas Eve I talked the family into opening our gifts to minimize the overload on Christmas morning. It was one of my most memerable Christmas Eve's.

FAVORITE PLAY PLACE

Making a Gingerbread House. And yes I bought a kit! Nothing like Grandma Do Do's home made ginger bread.

Baby Dais and Maelyn love to sit and play in the corner behind the christmas tree.

BOWLING

We went to Fat Cats for Holly Bartlett's birthday. Maelyn and Cali had a great time eating pizza, drinking soda, and bowling.

HAY RIDE

The young women and young men activity was going on a hayride around the neighborhood to Christmas Carol and give loaves of bread to the "less active". I had to meet Daison on my way and Maelyn wanted to come with. She was not dressed for a night out in the cold, but she didn't care. She loved singing Christmas songs and riding around the neighborhood in the fog and freezing cold.
